Last week our very own Lydia Treacle created some fantastic screen prints to display at future events. A special request based on works produced last year, here's what she had to say:
AH: What's your inspiration behind these pieces?
LH: I have always been fascinated by the Victorian's obsession with death. From examining memento mori I decided to put a light hearted twist on classic Victoriana death portraiture, and reveal in the second print that my subject is still alive and well.
AH: Who do you choose as your subjects for these works?
LH: Each of these portraits depict someone I am close to, in this specially commissioned piece I was asked to produce portraits for the supper club I run with one of my oldest and dearest friend's Anna Hamilton, AT's founder (and my boss!).
AH: Where can we see more of your work?
LH: I'm not great at blogging, but for more 'undead portraits' check out my tumblr: http://lkhoneybone.tumblr.com/
